“Disaster is a natural part of my evolution" Tyler whispered, "toward tragedy and dissolution" (Palahniuk, 110). Ever since the beginning of humanity, human beings have been doing many things that demonstrates how destructive the world can be within society along with people. It must be known that it will be like that until mankind realizes that it is bound to happen, and that no one lives in a utopia where everything is perfect. There are different ways that people can be destructive to society as well as themselves, different reasons why it is done, and how everything affects the world in a different way.
    The destructiveness of humanity is measured by how much damage is caused by people all around the world to society. Fight club was created when two intoxicated men felt the need to be in a fight, and did not want to die without a scar. Every week those men and a few others gathered and engaged in fighting each other for recreational or their own self purposes. Eventually fight club needed to be upgraded, “That night, Tyler knew he had to take fight club up a notch or shut it down” (Palahniuk, 123). Project Mayhem was created to get people out of the life they had, to release them like fight club did with Tyler Durden. It was meant to show people that one can repair civilization and make something better of the world by breaking it apart first. They all believed that Project Mayhem was going to save the world.
