" I am in Birmingham because in justice is here. "(pg.204) Martin Luther King sounds like a justice fighting super-hero. Dr. King was fueled by the gas of unjust laws and the way things were going in the United States at the time Dr.King had enough fuel for a space flight to the next galaxy. Dr. King stood tall like the capital letter I, spoke like jesus and gave concrete facts not even the most ignorant person could deny. The Letter from Birmingham jail was a piece of Dr. Kings heart, giving strong beliefs and carefully worded strategies to question a readers integrity. Right away I noticed Dr. King creates a strong ownership between him and the significance of the letter "I." Throughout the entire letter the use of the noun shows Dr. King is a speaking with belief. Like a prophet, Dr.King hints no uncertainties with his use of "I." This is a very impacting way of writing because he is not speaking to a single person but more of an announcement as if he is standing on one side of field projecting his voice to the opposing side. The way Dr.King says "I" I see representation. Standing tall with meaning and taking responsibility. "Seldom do I pause to answer criticism of my work and ideas." Shows Dr.Kings stance with his use of I, his ideas are so confirmed he seldom lets things get in the way of his goals. Dr.King is in Birmingham jail, giving him time to answer criticism against him.
