Patrick henry's famous speech is about having rights as a human being andbeing entitled to freedom. He would rather be seas than be a servant to another man. The speech was used to convince the house of burgesses to send troops to the revolutionary war. This speech was give on march 23, 1775 in Richmond. It was adreased to the briefings convention. Future presidents such as Thomas Jefferson also attended this event. The speech was creates to convince the house of burgesses to send troops to fight against the British military forces. Patrick Henry did achieve his goal of wanting to take military action against the british. Because we won the revolutionary war, we aimed American independence and Britain lost many of it's territory in the united states.
