The day had almost end, and we anticipated for a new and wonderful day to arise from the freezing dark night. We never even had a sign or feeling that something bad will happen. It was midnight and my eldest brother had just come home from work. He had a little bite and went to sleep at 1:30 a.m. Thirty minutes later and the continuous ringing of the bell pierced through my ears and the thumping of my mom’s feet down the stair woke me up.
Ding Dong, Ding Dong, Ding Dong (the bell rang) Knock, Knock, Knock, Knock (someone knocked on the glass door) Thump, thump, thump (my mom running down the stairs) Click (door unlocked); door opened YOUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE!!!!!!!!(Our neighbor screamed) My mom ran back up the stairs screaming,” The house is on fire, the house is on fire!” We all ran down the stairs, straight out the door, and realized the stench of smoke. When we all made it out, we found out that the front of my eldest brother’s car was on fired and spread up to the house. My heart was banging ferociously. Curious neighbors gathered around my house, and cars stopped to see the dramatic event. Once we found out that someone called the police for us, my dad ran quickly to the hose and turned on the water. Suddenly we realized that the water was not coming out because the freezing temperature had frozen the water.
